York Theatre Royal Youth Theatre exists to provide opportunities for young people aged 5 – 19 years from our community to participate in weekly drama sessions with the aim of improving confidence, developing performance skills, working as part of a team and enabling participants to live creative lives. Our programme works across the week at the theatre and across community settings and we’d love for you to come join us.

You can select any of the following fee bands online when you making your booking:

  • £105 full fee
  • £68 for households with an income of £19,000 or less
  • £32 for families in receipt of benefits
  • £0.00 If finance is still a barrier there are free memberships available to those that need them. These are not available to book online, so email or phone for more information.

Session Times and Locations

Week commencing Sep 23 to week commencing Dec 02 (excluding the week commencing Oct 28 for half term). 

Saturdays 9.15am – 10.30am, York Theatre Royal, Billiard Room

Saturdays 9.30am – 10.45am, York St John University (Room to be confirmed after booking)
