Unique pianist Karl Mullen has recently defended his title of Pub Piano Champion at the Leeds Piano Competition!
A familiar sight to York visitors as the busker with an upright piano playing around the Minster, he started out in public performance playing the organ at his local church aged 8. Since then, he has built up his experience travelling far and wide and playing in all sorts of situations, from remote African villages to European rock band tours.
Karl has a huge repertoire, and specialises in his own unique virtuosic arrangements of material from The Great American Songbook, classic pop and rock, boogie woogie and blues.
Expect a highly entertaining mix of everything from Chopin to Oasis, via Led Zeppelin and Les Dawson, delivered with a large dose of humour and stories!
Seating for this show will be in cabaret style and unreserved so be sure to grab your seats early and get a drink at the bar!
