Do you like travelling or are you a stay-at-home person?
I love travelling.
Where do you call home?
Coventry. I’ve always felt at home in Italy, I just love the lifestyle nice easy lifestyle, wandering around and great food, eating tomatoes.
Best place you’ve visited
Rishikesh in India. It’s a very peaceful town on the banks of the Ganges in India. We visited an ashram – a spiritual centre.
Place (town, country, planet) you’d most like to visit
Everywhere! I want to do a proper tour of Italy, Vietnam, Thailand, and I want to go into space.
Best way to travel – train, plane, automobile or cycle?
It’s a toss-up, between automobile and cycle. Cycling you take in everywhere around you, driving you’re looking at the road.
What languages do you speak?
English, Punjabi, little bit of Hindi, little bit of French (it used to be fluent).
Do you have any Yorkshire connections?
I used to work in Barnsley. I was a dentist although acting was always my first choice.
Have you visited York before?
Yes, for pleasure. Now I’d love to go round Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

Have you read the Jules Verne book?
Not yet!
Who do you play in the York adaptation and what’s their role in the story?
Trick rider and Aouda, the widow Phileas Fogg saves in India who I feel helps Fogg on his journey.
The show is circus-themed, so what circus skills do you possess or are learning?
Aerial work although I fall over very easily and I’m very clumsy…
