Following a sell-out performance in June 2022, we are thrilled to welcome Kyiv City Ballet back for a very special gala performance fundraiser on 30 March. Directed by Ivan Kozlov and Ekaterina Kozlova, the evening will be an unmissable night of dance including excerpts from ballets Tribute to Peace, Don Quixote, La Bayadere and Paquita.
We have worked alongside some of the best businesses in York to provide a fun-filled, jam-packed schedule for the company’s visit to York on 28 – 30 March. Our sponsors will help us to celebrate and share the rich and amazing culture of York with Kyiv City Ballet.
The company’s journey to York – our travel sponsors
The company have been based in Paris since the outbreak of war in Ukraine. They will begin their journey to York on 28 March as they travel to London on the Eurostar and then to York with LNER. Eurostar and LNER have kindly provided the company with their tickets to ensure a safe and easy journey. Thanks to Eurostar and LNER the company will arrive in York well-rested and ready for an exciting couple of days ahead.

During their visit, the company will also take a trip to York Minister for a tour around one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals. York Minster offer free guided tours from Monday to Saturday, 10am – 3pm. It is a unique opportunity to view the impressive stained glass windows and stonework whilst hearing stories and facts from their 800-year history.

This will be a wonderful opportunity for members of the community to get involved with the company’s visit and give an extra special and personal welcome.
