Donation optionsA unique and personal way to support York Theatre Royal
We have a theatre that the city continues to be proud of, a centre for excellence and inclusivity that leads the way in modern culture practice, offering updated facilities within a building that is an important asset in the rich cultural heritage of our city.
As part of the theatre’s transformation, we are offering our audiences and friends the chance to personalise a part of the Theatre by naming a seat in the newly decorated auditorium.
A named seat in our auditorium could be a unique and heartfelt gift, a special way to mark a significant anniversary or birthday, or to remember someone who loved the Theatre.
Emily who bought a seat for her boyfriend ‘I wanted to buy Daniel something unusual for his birthday that reflected our love for the theatre, this was the perfect gift!’

In recognition of your donation, an engraved brass plaque will be placed on the back of your seat(s) and you or the person you have named the seat for will receive a commemorative certificate.
