NOW, at York Theatre Royal on 08 February, is a new creation by Jasmin Vardimon MBE celebrating the 25th anniversary of the highly acclaimed Jasmin Vardimon Company. The production combines thought provoking choreography, a remarkable cast of international performers and Jasmin’s unique, bold take on dance theatre to guarantee an unmissable night at the theatre.
Jasmin Vardimon said today, “I’m happy to introduce our work to the York Theatre Royal audience and celebrate our company’s 25th anniversary with the people of York.”
The production revisits favourite moments from the company’s repertoire, while reflecting the current moment, the continuous movement of time, and the act of performance within live art. Renowned for her uniquely theatrical choreography, interest in contemporary lives, and the ever-changing socio-political dynamics, Jasmin uses her distinctive creative approach to celebrate imagination in this griping new production.
NOW is co-commissioned by Sadler’s Wells London, Kent County Council, DanceEast, and the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries, University of Kent. Jasmin has been an Associate Artist for Sadler’s Wells and the ICCI for many years and the relationships have continued to develop through the creation, premieres and performances of Jasmin’s critically acclaimed works.
